Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop artists: one who could effortlessly bridge the gap between pop and country and conquer the world. Swift removed the influences of country like they were an extra layer of skin, revealing she was among the most talented singers/songwriters in her generation. Swift could make the moment personal or harness the moment to benefit. Swift's early tracks like the Neotribute in tribute to Tim McGraw were a testament of her ability. But, her follow-up album Fearless of 2008 proved to be an songwriter discovering her voice and a wider fan base. Fearless was a huge success and not just in the US and six of the singles were certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But the album also enjoyed a great reception across all over the world. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago, consolidated her prior success, and catapulted the singer into superstardom. Swift's popularity continued to grow over her next three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014) as well as Reputation (2017) -- and found her moving assuredly into a pop realm in which she was already a part. Even though she had slowed her work with folklore and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was still in the forefront of pop music.
