Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, director, and singer, is also a talented actor. As an intelligent and attractive actress, Lucy Liu serves as a role-model for many Asian actors in Hollywood that want to be successful. The early successes of her were boosted through her participation in a few popular series. She played the villainous Ling Woo. She translated her newfound fame into roles on the big screen with Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. In the meanwhile, she was also in the lead role in a few film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. In later years, she worked as an actor in voice for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's part in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't bring about the results. Southland, the critically-acclaimed drama police show that Liu played in on a regular basis, was a role which has helped her regain her status as a renowned actress. Liu selects her roles carefully to avoid becoming typecast in this competitive industry. While she's proud of her heritage however, she is not letting the fact that she is from China limit her creative abilities.
