Mena Alexandra (born in February 13th, 1979) is a model and actress from the United States of America. After beginning her career as a model, she transitioned into acting after appearing as a guest on 90's television shows such as Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her first film appearance was on 1997's dramatic Nowhere. Through American Beauty and American Pie her name was recognized due to her character. Since then she appeared on screen in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal part in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). In 2002, she was a part in Spun the drama by an independent company and the 2004 thriller Trauma. She also appeared in the HBO television drama Six Feet Under. The drama aired on the air in 2004. Suvari was also featured in Days of the Dead, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, and the movie version of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is featured in a variety of blog and fashion publications as well as Vogue. She is an official Lancome model as well as appearing in advertising in the print edition of Lancome Paris Adaptive. She is an activist and an avid supporter of the African Medical and Research Foundation. She is also involved with the issue of women's empowerment and collaborates with various organizations to support breast cancer awareness and women's rights and the End Violence Against Women Campaign.
