Lori Greiner (born Lori Husman) is an American businesswoman and TV star. From 2009 on, she has served as either a Shark, or as a Shark investor, on ABC's business reality program Shark Tank. While in college she was intrigued by the idea of making and selling custom-made jewelry. When the idea of an organizer made of plastic came to her, she showed it to ladies on the streets, to gauge their reaction. At some point, she patented her product, and then began selling it in various platforms both online and offline. She added more products. She has so far created and sold over 1000 successful products. She also holds over 120 US and International patents. She has sharp instincts, an acute sense of commercial savvy and instantly know which product will become a hit or a failure. That translates into an 85% success rate in her business. She's a firm believer that "if you're lucky enough to be successful, it's your responsibility to make a difference". In the end, she makes donations to several causes every year.
